Developing Young Workforce
South Ayrshire Active Schools Leadership Academy begins with Junior Coaching Academy in P7 and runs through to Gold Coaching and Dance Academy in S6 with a wide range of programmes and opportunities to become a Young Leader. Click the link below to find out more about the Leadership Academy.
Students
South Ayrshire Active Schools works closely with Ayrshire College and University of the West of Scotland to provide students with placement opportunities to volunteer within the Active Schools. Each placement is varied to give each student the best experience as well as on the job training to help influence future career paths.
Coach Education
Offering a range of coach education opportunities to our volunteers such as National Governing Body sports specific courses, first aid, safeguarding and protecting children, as well as a selection of CLPL opportunities for school staff.
Adult Volunteers
South Ayrshire Active Schools have a wide range of volunteering opportunities for adults to volunteer within our programmes.
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, coach or just someone who is looking upskill yourself and give back then we would love to hear from you. Don’t worry if you don’t have much experience – we’re here to support you!
